“according to the government’s case, Manning was driven by a lust for fame” < This is inaccurate, in the chatlogs he clearly states that he did not want his face plastered everywhere.

Say thanks to Bradley for being courageous! Tell him he his made dear friends all over the globe, even though he might not know them. Stay with us Bradley! One day the empire will fall, and the future children will look up to you in admiration.

I've never had any doubt that Bradley is in good hands and wish you the best in what is a very difficult defense.

I'm not a "Bradley Supporter", and your kindness in allowing my comments arguing this point is noted and appreciated.

Guess that is what makes a good attorney. 🙂

Thank you for all you are doing to defend Bradley Manning. There are too few, who stand up for many anymore. I hope he is seeing the results of his sacrifice. People are waking up to the injustices in the US and, despite outrageous threats from the government, are behind him and will continue to speak out on his behalf.

There are few things that separate Men from Animals. Independent thought and a Conscience being two of them. There is precious little room for either of those in our military of brainwashed jarheads playing with people's lives as if it's all a video game, making a mockery of our values, and our freedoms. Bradley's arrest makes a mockery of the concept of democracy we're trying to peddle in countries where there is no freedom of speech, press, or independent thought. As an American in the Middle East the majority are an embarrassment, thank goodness for people like Bradley who give us a good name, too bad his brothers in arms and countrymen don't appreciate that fact.

Thank you for defending PFC Manning. I am not a lawyer, but when it comes to "aiding the enemy" a minor point may be that the Norweagian newspaper Aftenposten got a hold of all the cables, other newspaper also got it from Aftenposten, however I don't think any of them were considered "the enemy".

Beware of being blindsided in this trial by the "Separate Society" BS of Parker v Levy. If this tribunal convicts it will have been a sham, as Mr. Obama has already said, pre-trial, that Manning was guilty – "He broke the law."

Because Mr. Obama said this while acting as President – the top of the Chain of Command for the "Separate Society"; a President must actually issue a Pardon for Manning, seems to me.

Here is a piece I wrote in 2011, "Pardon Bradley Manning Mr. Obama" http://bit.ly/PardonBrad It includes audio of both the final arguments and the reading of the verdict in Parker v Levy, which held that a US Military Officers did not enjoy the Free Speech protections of the First Amendment because the military was – they held – a "Separate Society" and it's members had their own unique judiciary under the UCMJ.

Manning must be pardoned. And Parker v Levy must be overturned. In my opinion nothing less will undo the damage of how the executive branch has behaved towards Manning, particularly during his tenure at Quantico.

Maybe one day, the U.S. will release the truth about our support of Saddam/Iraq and our supplying WMD to use against Iran. And as well, our covertly supplying Iran with spare parts for their U.S. made aircraft: instigating and advancing conflict for the sake of the $, etc.

How can American People vote intelligently when our government conceals it's complicities ?

Thank you for your efforts in defending Bradley Manning. He is one of my heros. My heart aches for all that he has suffered in defending the rights of the American people. Our government was designed to work for us and that is no longer the case. Bradley Manning brought this to our attention when he exposed them for the abusers that they are.

I praise God for what he did. I pray that God will protect him and give him the peace that comes from doing what is right. I pray that the people of this country will pay attention to what our leaders are doing abroad and at home and that we will put a stop to it.

Again, thank you for all that you are doing in defense of this man. May God Speed.

We thank David Coombs, his staff, and all their families, for supporting them so they can carry on fighting on his behalf.

And thanks too, to all the great people fighting on behalf of Bradley, on behalf of U.S. First Amendment rights, and on behalf of the ongoing struggle by civil societies everywhere to have open & free access to the internet and a press free of fear of persecution & prosecution by their governments, now & in the future.
