Court-Martial Acquittals for December

The Army released the following acquittal information for the month of December:

Kaiserslautern Court-Martial:  On 7 December 2016, at a general court-martial, a Sergeant was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of one specification of attempted sexual assault and one specification of abusive sexual contact in violation of Articles 80 and 120, UCMJ.

Fort Bragg Court-Martial:  On 14 December 2016, at a general court-martial, a Specialist was acquitted by a military judge of two specifications of abusive sexual contact, one specification of sexual assault, and two specifications of assault consummated by a battery in violation of Articles 120 and 128, UCMJ.

Fort Leonard Wood Court-Martial:  On 15 December 2016, at a special court-martial, a Staff Sergeant was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of two specifications of disobeying a lawful general regulation and one specification of indecent language in violation of Articles 92 and 134, UCMJ.

Fort Carson Court-Martial:  On 15 December 2016, at a general court-martial, a Captain was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer members of two specifications of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120, UCMJ.

Fort Campbell Court-Martial:  On 16 December 2016, at a general court-martial, a Sergeant First Class was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of false official statement in violation of Article 107, UCMJ.  He was also acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of two specifications of sexual abuse of a child in violation of Article 120b, UCMJ.

Fort Hood Court-Martial:  On 20 December 2016, at a general court-martial, a Private First Class was acquitted by a military judge of one specification of sexual assault in violation of Article 120, UCMJ.
