Sexual Assault Defense Acquittals
The following are the sexual assault defense acquittals for the month of April:
Fort Bragg, North Carolina: On 11 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Sergeant First Class was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of one specification of rape of a child and four specifications of sexual abuse of a child in violation of Articles 120b, UCMJ.
Rose Barracks, Germany: On 11 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Private First Class was acquitted by a military judge of two specifications of sexual assault and three specifications of abusive sexual contact in violation of Article 120, UCMJ.
Fort Hood, Texas: On 12 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Chief Warrant Officer 2 was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer members of one specification of rape of a child, two specifications of sexual assault of a child, specification of sexual abuse of a child, and one specification of indecent acts with a child in violation of Articles 120, 120b, and 134, UCMJ.
Fort Benning, Georgia: On 20 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Private First Class was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of three specifications of abusive sexual contact and four specifications of assault consummated by battery in violation of Articles 120 and 128, UCMJ.
Fort Hood, Texas: On 20 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Private was acquitted by a military judge of two specifications of sexual assault and one specification of indecent language in violation of Articles 120 and 134, UCMJ.
Fort Hood, Texas: On 27 April 2017, at a general court-martial, a Private First Class was acquitted by a military panel composed of officer and enlisted members of two specifications of sexual assault of a child and one specification of sexual abuse
of a child in violation of Article 120b, UCMJ.
